Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Pass a criminal background check
- Have reliable transportation
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Provide proof of insurance
- Own a smartphone
- Be eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to commit to at least one year of employment
- Must be smoke-free and drug-free
- No personal cell phone use during shifts
- Ability to provide physical mobility assistance and quick responses
- Punctual and rested for scheduled shifts
Job Qualifications
- Experience with behavioral de-escalation and managing neurodivergent disabilities
- Strong adaptable communication skills tailored to individual needs
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and positive encouragement skills
- Ability to plan and execute engaging activities related to music and hobbies
- Technical skills related to video making and editing are a plus
- Physical ability to provide mobility assistance and quick movement
- Commitment to professional conduct and teamwork
Job Duties
- Provide 2-to-1 support for community outings including grocery shopping, attending special events, exploring new restaurants with gluten-free options, visiting amusement parks
- Assist with daily routine including meal planning, preparation, food shopping, and kitchen cleanup
- Support personal care and hygiene tasks including dressing, showering, oral hygiene, shaving, and nail clipping
- Ensure constant supervision and safety monitoring including knowledge of Heimlich maneuver, and provide mobility assistance
- Implement Positive Behavior Support Plan strategies to manage behaviors including verbal outbursts and socially unacceptable behavior
- Engage the individual in creative activities such as playing with RC cars, cooking gluten-free recipes, singing, dancing, reading, and making music
- Maintain professional conduct and provide full attention during shifts without cell phone use
