Job Requirements

  • High school or general education degree (ged)
  • One to six months of related experience or training
  • Must be able to learn to operate track mobile, skid steer, rbt
  • Must have good written communication skills and be able to read english
  • Must have basic math skills and ability to work with computer terminals
  • Requires little direction when solving simple problems
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, bill of lading, packing list, shipping manifest, material safety data sheets and procedure manuals
  • Will be required to stand 90% of the day
  • Reaching, bending, stooping, lifting, walking, pushing, pulling and turning (steering) with the hands are required motions
  • Frequently reach with arms to handle or move material
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs
  • Specific vision abilities needed include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to work in an area that has constant noise, varying temperatures, working machinery
  • Must be able to work 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts
  • Must be able to work weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, bill of lading, packing list, shipping manifest, material safety data sheets and procedure manuals

Job Duties

  • Using the switchboard properly to ensure proper loading of bulk tankers
  • Understand laws and regulations on how much weight you can put in a bulk tanker
  • Using bulk loading software correctly to create Bill of Lading
  • Identify problems while loading and correct them in the correct manner
  • Proper use of equipment to line up and correctly unload railcars
  • Proper use of switchboard to ensure proper silo selection
  • Understanding how much can and needs to be in the silos
  • Filing and keeping track of Bill of Lading
  • Tracking and communicating how many rail cars are on site and if they are empty, full, or partial
  • Tracking and communicating how much product is in the silos based on drafts taken or calculations provided
  • Tracking equipment and supplies used to service the terminal
  • Order parts and equipment for projects
  • Make sure that the terminal has the tools needed for overall operations
  • Maintain a good working relationship with vendors and suppliers
  • Inspect equipment and machinery for any repairs needed
  • Maintenance and repair any equipment or machinery
  • Inspect all areas for house cleaning and help clean and dispose of waste, scrape, and debris
  • All other duties as assigned by the Manager
