Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 1-2 years mechanical and/or technical skills for Operator 1 production role
  • ability to rotate workdays including weekends
  • proven good attendance
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • willingness to adapt to meet business needs
  • speak, write, read and comprehend English

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years mechanical and/or technical skills for Operator 1 production role
  • ability to rotate workdays including weekends
  • good attendance record
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • willing to help solve problems and implement solutions
  • speak, write, read and comprehend English
  • previous safety training
  • excellent communication skills
  • prior food manufacturing experience and familiarity with bakery equipment

Job Duties

  • set up operation of bakery equipment/manufacturing line
  • establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products per production guidelines
  • inspect all areas within one line/equipment for operational or mechanical issues
  • report equipment issues to supervisor or manager
  • complete and submit production reports
  • visually inspect product for quality and quantity
  • monitor runs and perform basic troubleshooting on bakery equipment
  • support quality control programs and follow food safety and GMP standards
  • comply with all safety procedures including lockout/tagout
  • maintain safe and clean work environment
  • provide excellent customer service and maintain positive attitude
  • perform manual labor tasks such as feeding, catching, packing, stacking products
  • assist with cleaning and sanitation pre- and post-production
  • work on rotating shifts including weekends
  • may perform other duties not listed
