Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- two years of related manufacturing experience or equivalent training
- ability to read and interpret production schedules, safety rules, and operating instructions
- strong math skills
- basic computer skills
- effective communication skills
- ability to stand for extended periods, use hands and fingers, and reach with arms
- frequent lifting between 10 and 100 lbs with assistance
- ability to push/pull 10-30 lbs frequently
- adequate communication and observational skills including seeing, speaking, hearing
- specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and color vision
- tolerance for flour dust
- willingness to work in cold, humid, and occasionally hot conditions
- ability to work a 3rd shift with weekend availability
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- two years of related manufacturing experience or equivalent training
- ability to read and interpret production schedules, safety rules, and operating instructions
- strong math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel
- effective oral and written communication skills
- prior experience in packaging or production operations preferred
Job Duties
- Set up and operate box forming, bag inserting, and box taping machines to meet production needs
- ensure adherence to daily production, packaging, and bagging schedules
- maintain adequate stock of packaging materials and verify proper machine settings
- perform bag and box strength verifications and ensure proper sealing
- adjust case erector measurements within specifications and change sizes as needed
- communicate equipment maintenance concerns to leads, supervisors, or maintenance
- maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas while adhering to GMPs and safety standards
- utilize Aspire AOE training with Centerline and CIL daily management systems
- participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- follow standard work procedures and train others on best practices
- perform additional tasks as assigned
