Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two plus years related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation
- Ability to do a variety of tasks in succession
- Knowledge of local geography, roads, and farms
- Ability to negotiate moderate to heavy traffic
- Ability to assist in equipment rebuilds
- Ability to calibrate application equipment
- Ability to maintain maintenance records
- Ability to obtain or hold a Pesticide Applicator License
- Possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with tanker and HazMat endorsements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two plus years related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of basic farm equipment and operation
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in succession including blending products, loading trucks, and driving
- Familiarity with local geography, roads, and farms
- Ability to negotiate moderate to heavy traffic effectively
- Ability to assist in equipment rebuilds
- Ability to calibrate a variety of application equipment
- Ability to maintain maintenance records
- Ability to set up and calibrate injection equipment is a plus
- Basic knowledge in mechanical, electrical welding, and metal fabrication is a plus
Job Duties
- Product application, calibrating application equipment, application equipment maintenance, and cleaning and storing application equipment
- Assist in loading, mixing, and applying pesticides with attention to proper adjuvants, mixing order, temperature, and field conditions
- Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers
- General plant equipment maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities
- Receiving and unloading product deliveries and managing warehouse inventory
- Perform miscellaneous duties such as special projects, attending training sessions, and providing backup support
- Maintain maintenance records for equipment and assist in equipment rebuilds
