Job Duties
- Complete assigned cashier and closing reports in the computer system
- review employee shift logs and daily memo books and document pertinent information
- contact appropriate person or department to resolve guest calls, requests, or issues
- process guest check-ins by confirming reservations, verifying identity, requesting payment, assigning rooms, and issuing keys
- sell rooms to guests without reservations based on availability
- ensure room rates comply with market standards and document exceptions
- scan and charge accounts from various points of sale to room accounts
- assist management with employee training, evaluation, discipline, motivation, and coaching
- report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions
- maintain a professional appearance and confidentiality
- greet guests according to company standards, anticipate and fulfill service needs, thank guests sincerely
- communicate clearly and professionally with others
- handle phones appropriately
- cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
- ensure quality standards compliance
- stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
