Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3-5 years of experience in freight forwarding or transportation
  • Medium proficiency in AS400
  • Medium proficiency in Cargowise
  • Medium proficiency in McLeod
  • Medium proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Leadership skills to manage and develop team members
  • Strong work ethic and accountability
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • 3-5 years experience in freight forwarding or transportation
  • Proficiency in AS400 medium level
  • Proficiency in Cargowise medium level
  • Proficiency in McLeod medium level
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite medium level

Job Duties

  • Manage and supervise the operations team to ensure efficient and cost-effective movement of products
  • Train, coach, and develop operations staff to enhance performance and productivity
  • Coordinate pickups and deliveries with transportation companies and schedule routes accordingly
  • Communicate actively with trucking companies, internal and external customers, customs brokers, sales teams, and vendors to optimize shipment processes
  • Analyze and research customer orders to meet needs while minimizing transportation costs
  • Supervise daily shipment routes and schedules, tracking shipment progress and managing weekend cartage operations
  • Maintain safe working environments by enforcing safety programs and standards
