Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of facilities operations experience
  • Maintain proper operations of housekeeping and changeover equipment
  • Hold current driver’s license
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and safety rules
  • Possession of licenses or certificates required for equipment operation
  • Knowledge of custodial and event setup practices
  • Understand operational procedures and facility capabilities
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing situations
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and specific venue software

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of facilities operations experience
  • Completion of facilities management or sports management courses considered a strong plus
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, floor plans, procedure manuals, and safety rules
  • Possess required licenses or training for facility equipment operation
  • Knowledge of custodial, event setup, teardown, and changeover procedures
  • Thorough understanding of operational procedures, facility capabilities, event-related services, and technical requirements
  • Ability to work independently with good judgment and initiative
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication skills in both oral and written form
  • Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, and patrons
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing situations
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office, Momentous, and BlueBeam

Job Duties

  • Lead and supervise teams of full-time, part-time, and temporary labor to complete event setups, conversions, and teardowns efficiently and accurately
  • Manage, train, and direct housekeeping and conversion staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to required standards
  • Oversee physical setup and breakdown of event equipment including seating, stages, dance floors, tables, and furnishings according to event diagrams and plans
  • Inspect rooms and common areas to guarantee cleanliness and order
  • Assign daily tasks and create work schedules for housekeeping and conversions crew
  • Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory ensuring proper stock levels
  • Operate and ensure proper use of equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and pallet jacks
  • Conduct pre- and post-event inspections to ensure setups meet standards and safety requirements
  • Assist with daily maintenance and upkeep of department equipment
  • Coordinate with other departments, event managers, and clients to execute production requirements and requests
  • Address guest complaints and resolve staff conflicts
  • Assist with snow removal and oversee ice installation and maintenance
  • Respond to building automation and life safety system alarms
  • Work extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
