Job Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license
- management experience in waste industry, recycling programs, transportation, production, logistics operations or related field
- knowledge of employee training, supervision, and evaluation principles
- understanding of supervisory techniques, resource allocation, planning and budgeting

Job Duties
- Assigns employees to routes and special pickups for timely services
- assigns employees to balance workload
- arranges alternate coverage of service in case of employee absence or equipment failure
- ensures the accountability of route completions
- analyzes routes and implements routing changes
- monitors work to ensure efficient operations
- enforces safety policies and procedures
- resolves customer service problems and responds to complaints
- investigates and resolves customer inquiries
- recommends and makes rate adjustments
- generates and analyzes operational reports
- advises management on delinquent accounts and assists in collections
- performs pre-and post-trip inspections
- investigates and reports on worker injuries and accidents
- maintains time records and manages attendance issues
- drives trucks as needed
- ensures compliance with policies and collective bargaining agreements
- may dispatch or be back-up dispatcher
- participates in community and business meetings
- performs other assigned duties
