Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- minimum 3-5 years of freight forwarding experience
- domestic operations experience
- forklift certified
- supervisor experience preferred
- ability to manage schedules and labor
- ability to work extended or variable hours including on-call and weekends
- strong communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- minimum 3-5 years freight forwarding experience
- supervisory experience preferred
- domestic operations experience required
- forklift certification required
- knowledge of AS400/Worldport system a plus

Job Duties
- Manage warehouse functions including inbound receipts, outbound shipments, storage, stocking and inventory control
- implement process improvement, standardization and documentation procedures for all operations shifts
- oversee operations and service levels of logistics activities
- perform inventory control and reconciliation for in-house customers
- manage daily shipment routes, schedules, and weekend cartage operations
- optimize staff scheduling to maximize productivity and control expenses
- track and respond to customer emails regarding operational needs
- build and maintain partnerships with trucking companies, customers, customs brokers, sales teams and vendors including managing carrier quotes
- supervise daily domestic service activities related to cartage, freight movement, and dispatch
- identify and improve service and operational challenges including timely delivery and accurate data entry
- research and resolve customer complaints on domestic and cartage issues
- coach team members on performance, training and job assignments
- ensure adherence to safety programs and maintain a safe work environment
- participate in interviewing and onboarding of new employees
- perform other duties as required by business demands
