Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Preferred associated degree or 2 to 3 years related experience or training
  • One year supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Experience in aviation industry and aircraft handling
  • Ability to read and comprehend manuals and detailed instructions
  • Passion for outstanding customer service
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships
  • Professional communication skills
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
  • Successful background check
  • Must have active driver’s license

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to deliver safe and reliable operations and service
  • Delegate and assign duties to qualified personnel, monitor progress, and assess results
  • Perform functions including meeting and greeting customers, marshalling, parking, towing, wing walking, providing lavatory, water, fueling, and oil services, shuttle service for passengers and crew, assisting with baggage and cargo, and general cleaning
  • Promote a culture of safety through continuous safety briefings, training, observations, and personal conduct
  • Coordinate with ramp and maintenance personnel to reposition aircraft according to operational needs
  • Review daily schedule for proper ramp planning to meet customer demand
  • Monitor international arrivals and departures for customs handling and ensure compliance
  • Assist crews and customers with service requests and resolve complaints
  • Mentor leads and employees to maintain high levels of customer service
  • Oversee base CBT and OJT training programs and ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, NFPA, ATA, National Jets, and airport regulations
  • Maintain regulatory compliance with federal, state, and airport agencies
  • Conduct interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, rewards, disciplinary actions, and address internal complaints
  • Effectively communicate with other departments and internal customers
  • Direct personnel in a fair, equitable, and consistent manner
  • Coordinate schedules and time off requests for the line service team
  • Administer airport badging and records requirements
  • Oversee quality control procedures including daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual checks
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and safety checks are completed
  • Oversee facility preventative and non-scheduled maintenance
  • Monitor, order, and maintain inventory of fuels, oils, and spill-recovery materials
  • Conduct shift briefings and disseminate operational information
  • Coordinate monthly safety meetings and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Correspond with tenants to maintain relationships and inquire about facility or service needs
  • Ensure a culture that promotes customer loyalty through employee engagement
