Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of related work experience

Job Duties

  • Complete designated cashier reports and closing reports in the computer system
  • Review employee shift logs and daily memo books and document relevant information in the records
  • Contact appropriate person or department such as bell services or housekeeping to resolve guest calls, requests or issues
  • Process all guest check-in records by confirming reservations in the computer system, verifying guest identity, requesting a form of payment, assigning rooms and delivering and activating room keys
  • Sell room or accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability
  • Ensure rates are adjusted according to market standards and all exceptions are documented
  • Ensure guest account charges from various points of sale are scanned and posted to the guest room account
  • Assist management in training, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees and serve as a role model and first point of contact for the "Fair Treatment Guarantee and Open-Door Policy" process
  • Report accidents, injuries and unsafe working conditions to the manager
  • Conduct safety training and obtain certifications
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain clean and professional uniform and personal appearance
  • Protect confidential information and company assets
  • Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Anticipate guest service needs and address them
  • Thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • Assist disabled individuals
  • Use clear and professional language with others
  • Answer phones using appropriate protocol
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations
  • Stand, sit or walk for extended periods during work shifts
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull and position without assistance objects up to 25 pounds
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors
