Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- One to three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One to two years supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to operate computer using Windows and Office
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physically strenuous duties including lifting, carrying and climbing
- Willingness to work extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of event set-up, facility maintenance, and proper use of hand and power tools
- Follow policies, safety precautions, rules and emergency procedures
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Work independently with sound judgment and initiative
- Maintain effective working relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons
- Be licensed and insured to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
Job Duties
- Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events
- Direct full-time, part-time and contracted employees in completion of various tasks assigned by the Operations Manager
- Set up portable chairs, barricades, staging, tables, furnishings, and equipment
- Perform day-to-day operational duties including loading/unloading delivery trucks, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies
- Assist with event cleaning and janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, carpet cleaning, window washing, and waxing
- Support building engineers and subcontractors in construction, repair and maintenance activities
- Ensure proper use of chemicals by staff according to MSDS standards
- Report safety, damage concerns, or irregularities promptly to supervisors
- Administer immediate disciplinary actions and work with management and HR on discipline matters
- Work extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Perform additional duties as required
