Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in custodial or cleaning services preferred
  • Physical ability to handle manual labor including lifting and moving heavy objects
  • Flexibility to work shifts that include nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment after training

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in a service related field preferred
  • Flexibility to work required hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Physical ability to perform the duties required of this position including operation of cleaning equipment
  • Ability to lift, set and move equipment including tables, chairs, easels, risers, staging and related items
  • Ability to operate two-way radio equipment

Job Duties

  • Perform custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, cleaning and scrubbing as well as exterior cleaning of terrace, steps, parking garage, sidewalks and plaza as assigned
  • Prepare facilities for shows including setting chairs, stages, tables and counters as assigned
  • Clean interior and exterior glass
  • Use equipment as required upon completion of training
  • Clean and prepare floors, carpets, restrooms and other areas as necessary
  • Clean and polish furniture
  • Dispose of all waste, including bulk trash removal from hall and participate in recycling program as required
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
