Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • Three years of experience in the occupation or related field
  • Ability to interpret DoD and USMC policies on sponsorship agreements and contracts
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Knowledge of marketing theory and research principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of administrative and management procedures
  • Ability to apply analytical techniques and evaluative methods
  • Familiarity with Department of the Navy Correspondence Manual
  • Ability to maintain official files and ensure compliance with procedures
  • Must be able to coordinate and manage contracts and sponsorship agreements

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
  • Three years of relevant experience in administration or related work
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marketing theory, research principles, and consumer behavior
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to solicit commercial sponsorship and negotiate contracts
  • Ability to write after-action reports
  • Ability to interpret DoD and USMC policies related to sponsorship agreements and contracts
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and evaluative methods for administrative and management matters
  • Knowledge of methods, procedures, mission requirements, program goals, objectives, regulations, laws, policies, and precedents governing operations
  • Working knowledge of Department of the Navy Correspondence Manual
  • Familiarity with operational structure of MCCSHR
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Job Duties

  • Serve as operations specialist and primary point of contact on administrative functions for MCCSHR
  • Coordinate and perform various operations and administrative tasks in procurement, marketing, facilities, and finance
  • Organize flow of operational program processes in an office environment
  • Establish status of actions on numerous projects and programs
  • Review and interpret directives and regulations
  • Maintain official files and advise staff on development and implementation of local administrative procedures
  • Ensure compliance by reviewing and revising studies, reports, and correspondence
  • Collect, compile, and organize information and data to meet administrative requirements
  • Prepare correspondence including letters of appreciation, instructions, and awards
  • Serve as contract liaison and coordinator within MCCSHR and the NAF Regional Contract Office
  • Assist in administrative duties for comprehensive marketing program including public relations, advertising, and research
  • Coordinate publicity efforts through newsletters, posters, brochures, and other media
  • Work with MCCS Director, department heads, and managers to ensure appropriate use of visual media for events
  • Engage with corporations and non-federal entities to develop partnership, sponsorship, and advertising opportunities
  • Create proposals and negotiate terms for sponsorship agreements
  • Coordinate staff actions with appropriate agencies including legal counsel
  • Ensure development and completion of evaluation and follow-up reports
