Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
 - Experience and knowledge in imports, export, compliance, rules and regulations
 - Preferred experience in aerospace or high-tech shipments
 - Experienced in shipment quoting
 - Exposure to accruals and billing services for customers
 - Knowledge of Importer Security Filing preferred
 - Familiarity with CargoWise C1
 - Good working knowledge of Incoterms
 - Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds
 - Willingness to undergo background check for felony convictions
 - Compliance with federal customs brokerage regulations
 
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing air or ocean shipments in freight forwarding
 - Preferred experience handling both import and export across air and ocean services
 - Experienced in Aerospace or High-Tech shipments
 - Skilled in quoting customer shipments
 - Prior use of CargoWise C1 is a plus
 - Strong knowledge of U.S. customs laws, regulations, and procedures
 - Exceptional customer service and communication skills
 - Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail
 - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
 - Capable of multitasking, meeting deadlines, and thriving in team and independent settings
 
Job Duties
- Provide outstanding white-glove customer service to key accounts by promptly addressing inquiries and managing shipments per customer-specific SOPs
 - Prepare, review, and process customer shipments including required documentation ensuring accuracy and completeness
 - Coordinate freight dispatch for delivery while maintaining regular communication with truckers
 - Support sales and department managers in preparing competitive client quotes
 - Track and manage customer bookings and shipments with timely status updates and arrange deliveries
 - Ensure accurate job costing by managing payables, receivables, and accruals following company policies
 - Invoice customers for each file verifying payment terms
 - Resolve discrepancies in payables through collaboration with vendors and overseas offices
 - Monitor shipping trends and report significant changes to management
 - Evaluate customer performance and recommend support level adjustments
 - Serve as a backup for team members demonstrating versatility
 - Uphold departmental compliance standards
 - Proactively address and resolve issues while escalating critical matters appropriately
 - Perform additional duties as assigned
