Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
  • Ability to work full time on-site
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Willingness to follow loss prevention policies
  • Capability to use departmental equipment and technology
  • Flexibility to assist various operational areas
  • Commitment to excellent guest service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
  • OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in guest services or related area
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and operations
  • Proficient in using operational and financial reports
  • Knowledge of loss prevention policies
  • Ability to handle guest relations effectively
  • Experience in scheduling and managing staff
  • Familiarity with hotel night audit procedures

Job Duties

  • Open and close front desk and housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of shift checklist
  • Run and review room operations reports
  • Understand and support operations of Recreation, Laundry, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, AYS, Front Desk and Concierge/Guest Services
  • Operate department equipment and report malfunctions
  • Ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
  • Understand night audit procedures and utilize reports as needed
  • Communicate performance expectations and manage employee questions and concerns
  • Schedule employees according to business demands and track attendance
  • Supervise same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
  • Verify accuracy of room rates
  • Use budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports to assist in management
  • Manage departmental controllable expenses to meet budget goals
  • Assist in investigation of employee and guest accidents
  • Utilize guest information tracking system for guest recognition
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
