Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Two years of experience related to the program area of assignment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license from any state and good driving record required at time of application
  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license required by first date of employment with good driving record
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Moderate computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Moderate computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and willingness to take initiative
  • Previous experience in recreation hospitality or customer service is preferred
  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license required by first date of employment with good driving record

Job Duties

  • Provide front desk coverage including greeting visitors phone support and assisting participants with general needs
  • Conduct facility tours for recreation participants and assist with participant onboarding
  • Responsible for the daily room setup and break down for meetings programs and special events
  • Assist with the execution of recreation programming and special events
  • Monitor the facility to identify and report operational or safety concerns occasionally serve as a point of contact for vendors and NHC Facilities Management to address issues on-site
  • Maintain organization in shared spaces including storage areas meeting rooms and other recreation spaces
  • Provide general support to the Recreation Life Enrichment Transportation Community Engagement and Nutrition divisions as needed
  • Perform occasional data entry and administrative tasks
