Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certification
  • 3-5 years forklift driving experience
  • Minimum 1 year in food manufacturing
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Able to work day shifts 6 am to 6:30 pm on a 2-2-3 schedule
  • Able to stand and work for up to 12 hours
  • Knowledge of safety and food safety procedures
  • Ability to follow GMPs
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Able to wear required PPE
  • Able to work independently and in a team

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years forklift driving experience with certification
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a food manufacturing facility
  • Basic math skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to perform maintenance on valves, surge tanks, and processors
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate paperwork and operating logs
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve processor and equipment issues
  • Knowledge of allergens and prevention of cross contamination
  • Ability to assess situations and make quick decisions
  • Knowledge of terminology related to processing and surge equipment
  • Ability to stand and work for long periods
  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to push/pull pallet jacks with heavy loads
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Oracle system experience is preferred
  • Associate degree is preferred

Job Duties

  • Operate all energized and non-energized forklifts and palletizing equipment
  • Monitor and fix faults and clear material jams in palletizing robots
  • Pick and load outbound trucks as per paperwork
  • Unload and put away inbound trucks
  • Monitor raw packaging materials and supplies to support production
  • Maintain ingredients and materials on a First In First Out (FIFO) basis
  • Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and palletizing equipment and document parts needed
  • Relieve other production team members for breaks and absences
  • Maintain clean and organized work area
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operating difficulties with equipment
  • Complete inspections of all critical parameters
  • Work independently and professionally with team members
  • Complete required paperwork neatly
  • Use computer proficiently
  • Perform quality and food safety checks
  • Communicate production delays or problems
  • Follow safety, food safety, quality procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Provide proper shift handoff
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Exhibit leadership and ownership of job responsibilities
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
