Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of forklift driving experience
- Forklift certification
- 1+ years experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and work long shifts
- Ability to follow safety and food safety procedures
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of forklift driving experience with forklift certification
- 1+ years experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to run all processors, CIPs, and monitor surge tanks
- Understanding of allergen procedures and cross-contamination prevention
- Ability to perform maintenance on valves, surge tanks, and processors
- Capability to prepare and maintain accurate paperwork and operating logs
- Skill in troubleshooting moderate to complex equipment issues
- Ability to make quick, accurate production decisions
- Adherence to GMPs and safety procedures
- Knowledge of terminology related to process and surge equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift 30-50 pounds frequently
- Proficiency in computer and math skills
- Ability to work in a team-based environment
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Preferred Oracle experience
- Preferred associate degree
Job Duties
- Operate all energized and non-energized forklift and palletizing equipment
- Monitor and fix faults as well as clear any material jams in palletizing robot
- Pick and load outbound trucks as per paperwork
- Unload and put away inbound trucks
- Monitor raw packaging material and supplies to ensure efficient production support
- Maintain ingredients and material on a First In First Out basis
- Perform routine maintenance on forklift and palletizing equipment and document parts needed
- Relieve other production team members for breaks and absences
- Maintain clean and organized area around equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
- Complete inspections of all critical parameters
- Work independently and professionally with team members
- Complete all required paperwork neatly and professionally
- Use computer proficiently
- Perform quality and food safety checks
- Communicate production delays or problems to facility personnel
- Follow all employee safety, food safety, and GMP procedures
- Responsible for proper shift handoff with incoming/outgoing operators
- Wear all required PPE including gloves, aprons, face shields, and safety glasses
- Lead and take ownership of department and job functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
