  • Minimum two years of experience in event management
  • Experience in program development and execution

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience in event management especially in public events, festivals, or community programming
  • At least two years of experience in program development and execution
  • Proven experience supervising and managing staff including hiring, training, and coaching
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a hands-on approach to operations and problem-solving
  • Strong organizational skills capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various internal and external partners
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced public environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Manage and oversee all event operations including onsite management and staff coordination
  • Support the General Manager of Public Events with operational and administrative tasks
  • Lead program development and execution for public events and community programming
  • Hire, train, coach, and manage event staff including initiating disciplinary action when necessary
  • Collaborate with internal departments, external vendors, and stakeholders to ensure event requirements are met
  • Coordinate logistics for events including setup, execution, and breakdown
  • Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends to meet event demands
