Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years' experience in international sea and air freight operations with focus on door-to-door services and specialized cargo
- at least three years in supervisory or leadership role within the transportation industry
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or related field
- proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (preferably CargoWise) and Microsoft Office
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- thorough knowledge of customs regulations and trade compliance
- demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- proactive and customer-centric approach to operations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in logistics, supply chain management, international business, or related field
- minimum of five years' experience in international sea and air freight operations with focus on door-to-door and specialized cargo
- at least three years' experience in supervisory or team leadership roles within transportation
- strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export laws, and international trade agreements
- proficiency in Transportation Management Systems, preferably CargoWise
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- proven ability to manage complex, multi-modal shipments including OOG and heavy lift
- strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- fluency in English with additional languages being a plus
Job Duties
- Planning, coordinating, and executing international sea and air freight shipments including door-to-door services with specialization in OOG and heavy lift cargo
- managing the entire shipment lifecycle from origin to destination ensuring seamless delivery
- overseeing supply chain activities including pre-carriage, main carriage, and on-carriage with focus on specialized handling
- monitoring shipments, providing proactive updates, and resolving shipment issues
- managing and processing all shipping documentation including OOG and heavy lift specific documents
- serving as the primary contact for customers and suppliers to provide tailored logistics solutions
- negotiating rates and service agreements with suppliers to optimize costs and efficiency
- ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws
- managing customs clearance processes
- maintaining accurate data entry and reporting in TMS
- handling invoicing and financial transactions related to shipments
- leading, supervising, mentoring, and developing logistics teams
- setting team goals, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance
- fostering a positive and collaborative team environment
- managing team schedules and personnel issues
- planning and coordinating specialized transport solutions for OOG and heavy lift cargo including route surveys and permits
