Job Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lead teams with minimal supervision
- Basic computer skills required
- Must have basic computational ability
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift specified weights
- Must maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Regular attendance and punctuality required
- Must comply with hotel rules and regulations
- Must meet driver's license and driving record criteria
- Must be available for varying work schedules
- Must pass specified driver guidelines including moving violation limits
- No conviction for serious driving offenses in the last three years
- Drivers under 21 not accepted
- Validation of driver’s license for minimum 3 years required for ages 21-25
- Must follow company vehicle and safety policies.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two to four years of experience in hotel operations
- At least two years’ supervisory experience at a similar property
- Experience with brand standards preferred
- Valid and active driver’s license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Proficiency with computer accounting programs and basic math
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles and practices
- Ability to analyze complex data and develop new approaches
- Understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations.
Job Duties
- Manage Front Desk, Bell, and Housekeeping departments to ensure quality service
- Translate operational goals related to guest tracking and productivity to the team
- Communicate and address employee and guest satisfaction results
- Lead by example with energy and enthusiasm
- Publish guest satisfaction results and timely commentaries
- Handle employee concerns proactively and professionally
- Support scheduling to meet guest and occupancy goals
- Provide excellent customer service and be approachable to guests
- Respond timely to customer service requests
- Assist in performing quality audits and ensuring key control programs
- Understand and use financial and sales reports to assist in profitability management
- Conduct interviews and assist in hiring decisions
- Ensure thorough orientations for new employees
- Maintain compliance with hotel safety, risk management, and operational policies
- Support executive management with incident reports and preventive actions
- Assume Resort Manager responsibilities in their absence
- Manage special projects as assigned by management.
