Job Requirements
- intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations
- Marriott experience preferred
- working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history subject to company approval
- ability to demonstrate leadership and professional image
- strong management skills including work delegation
- ability to ensure accuracy, thoroughness and quality in work
- capability to manage difficult guest situations promptly

Job Duties
- assist the General Manager in leading the departmental teams in developing and implementing property-wide strategies
- oversee the rooms division and food and beverage outlets and other hotel departments to ensure high-quality service
- assist the General Manager in preparing forecasts and reports and in budgeting to maximize revenue and minimize expenses
- review financial statements and performance data to measure productivity and identify improvement areas
- monitor and maintain front office systems and equipment for optimum performance
- ensure key control program is effective
- provide a safe working environment compliant with OSHA and MSDS standards
- provide leadership to hotel associates and inspire achievement of customer service goals
- monitor guest satisfaction and develop action plans to enhance service quality
- address guest concerns proactively and resolve complaints
- assist employees in understanding and exceeding guest expectations
- ensure staffing meets guest service expectations
- assist with guest service training including service recovery and upselling
- support employee recruitment, training, scheduling, and coaching
- set performance expectations with General Manager
- work with HR to ensure timely orientation and training
- address employee concerns proactively
- provide employee recognition
- assist supervisors with coaching and counseling
- maintain approachability and open door policy
- lead by example with confidence and enthusiasm
- solicit feedback for continuous improvement
- ensure hotel meets all quality standards in service, safety, maintenance, and housekeeping
