Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Hotel Operations experience required
  • Three to five years of management experience required
  • Ability to provide and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to push and pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs occasionally
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential
  • Must comply with company safety and attendance policies
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment and safety laws
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Must have intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to operate office and hotel equipment efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of loyalty programs and brand standards preferred
  • Strong leadership and customer relations skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key systems, and POS
  • Detail oriented with solid problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of budgetary analysis and cost control
  • Ability to handle conflict with tact and diplomacy
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • Familiarity with federal and state labor laws including Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, ADA, OSHA, FMLA

Job Duties

  • Coordinate, direct, and manage hotel operations to achieve maximum profitability and guest satisfaction
  • Work with management team to oversee employee, maintenance, sales, and profit/loss controls
  • Maximize hotel revenues through upselling, occupancy strategies, and outlet revenues
  • Set and monitor quarterly goals for each department
  • Ensure service and product quality standards are met throughout the hotel
  • Maintain exceptional guest service standards and positive guest experiences
  • Oversee guest service programs and handle guest needs professionally
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and performance management
  • Monitor and control payroll costs and expenses according to budgets and forecasts
  • Manage P&L aspects by controlling costs and achieving budgeted CPOR
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, OSHA, and other regulations
  • Foster open communication across departments to support guest and staff service
  • Resolve guest complaints and encourage staff to exceed guest expectations
  • Provide feedback, counseling, and performance evaluations to staff
  • Attend operational and departmental meetings
  • Recommend changes or innovations to improve service and quality
  • Monitor supply inventories to ensure adequate tools for staff
  • Practice and promote safe work habits
  • Ensure facility compliance with regulatory laws
  • Maintain familiarity with company policies and employee benefits
  • Assist with guest inquiries and report safety or maintenance issues
  • Follow all company safety and security policies
  • Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager
