Job Requirements
- Must have experience in transportation operations management
- prior dispatch and dock experience required
- ability to lead and develop teams effectively
- availability for shift Monday-Friday 5pm-3am including weekends and nights
- willingness to work 50 hours per week average
- capacity to work in all weather conditions
- capability to work under tight deadlines
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- high aptitude for technology
- associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Job Qualifications
- Experience managing a team
- thorough knowledge of LTL trucking industry
- prior management experience in dispatch and dock operations
- strong leadership including hiring, coaching, counseling and mentoring skills
- excellent communication skills
- technology proficiency
- ability to multitask and detail oriented
- willingness to work flexible hours
- ability to work under high pressure with multiple priorities
- associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Duties
- Oversee dock operations for designated terminal section
- manage loading processes and forklift traffic
- supervise proper picking and sortation of palletized freight
- ensure proper load distribution by monitoring cube and weight of trailers
- provide leadership and accountability to drivers and dock workers
- monitor dock production to meet or exceed KPI goals
- maintain safe work environment in compliance with DOT and OSHA standards
- ensure company operational model compliance
- support culture of excellence in product quality to customers
