Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Previous supervisory roles
- Proficiency in Windows and company-approved spreadsheet and word processing software
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen and address concerns of employees and guests
- Capacity to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Consistent attendance per Highgate Hotel Standards
- Maintenance of high standards of personal appearance including wearing nametags
- Compliance with hotel safety and operational policies
- Problem-solving skills including anticipating and resolving issues
- Ability to understand and analyze complex information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Physical ability to work long hours and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with employees and guests
- Listen to and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Maximize productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions
- Handle guest special requests, complaints, disturbances, and emergencies
- Perform all front desk duties including check-ins and checkouts
- Manage night audit functions and prepare reports
- Train new employees and develop training programs
- Supervise line-level associates and coordinate with multiple departments
- Schedule and manage payroll functions
- Ensure cleanliness and operational standards in lobby and food & beverage areas
- Operate hotel computer systems and manage PBX console
- Monitor VIP guests and special requests
- Enforce hotel policies and credit procedures
- Participate in hotel enrichment and room inspection programs
