Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years operations experience in industrial distribution or warehouse environment
  • Operations responsibility for $5-10 million wholesale warehouse type facility
  • Experience managing a team of 5 or more employees
  • Computer skills including MS Office and inventory management software
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of industrial product lines such as pool and spa equipment, chemicals, construction materials, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, HVAC supplies, auto parts, irrigation supplies or similar industrial tangible goods helpful
  • To be 18 years of age or older to apply

  • Experience managing operations for a $5-10 million wholesale warehouse facility
  • Experience managing a team of 5 or more employees
  • Proficient in MS Office and inventory management software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of industrial product lines such as pool and spa equipment, chemicals, construction materials, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, HVAC supplies, auto parts, irrigation supplies or similar products helpful
  • 18 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Hire, train, direct and manage all warehouse staff including warehouse associates and drivers
  • Review open sales orders, open purchase orders, open vendor claims, and open transfers
  • Review warehouse procedures and ensure proper warehouse safety protocols are followed
  • Consult with regional buyers and vendors to obtain product or service information
  • Manage inventory to control stock outs and reduce excessive inventory
  • Perform cycle counts to prevent inventory shrink
  • Manage freight expenses and approve invoices for payment
  • Manage accounts payable discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Supervise proper routing, loading, and preparation of orders for shipment and delivery
  • Train new employees on warehouse and distribution procedures
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others
  • Support sales staff in meeting sales objectives
  • Perform other non-essential duties as assigned
