Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- minimum five years experience in multi-facility logistics or warehousing operations
- knowledge of OSHA and federal regulations
- experience with warehouse management and automated systems
- strong communication and leadership skills
- ability to work non-traditional business hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to travel as required under corporate travel policy
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse databases
Job Qualifications
- bachelor’s degree in logistics, engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- minimum of five years experience with complex multi-facility organizations and automated systems such as ERP or warehouse management systems
- in-depth knowledge of federal and state OSHA regulations
- experience establishing performance metrics, procedures and standard operating procedures
- experience in training warehouse staff and assisting distribution center directors with training
- proven ability to develop and implement strategies and effective action plans
- experience using warehouse computer systems including ERP, automated order processing and networked systems
- advanced skills in Microsoft applications including Excel
- experience with budget, profit and loss analysis and planning
- ability to analyze multi-state and regional data
- excellent communication skills with ability to educate and influence senior staff
- experience managing contractors, vendor relationships, contracts and service level agreements
- computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet and warehouse databases
Job Duties
- assist director of logistics with strategy and implementation of new or upgraded warehouse and office operating systems including technical and manual systems
- lead team responsible for maintaining and reporting on warehouse activity related systems such as temperature monitoring of distribution center freezers and coolers, material handling equipment activity and compliance, warehouse management systems and future systems to gain efficiencies and consistencies
- develop and execute plans ensuring efficient and accurate inbound and outbound shipments, and proper logistics distribution procedures
- manage external resource support including service level agreements and ensure compliance
- ensure OSHA and other compliance regulations and procedures are documented and followed
- analyze warehousing physical requirements, establish and maintain operational procedures, determine technological improvement opportunities
- assist with headcount and resource needs based on labor costs, customer and budget requirements
- collaborate with distribution center directors and participate in cross functional teams for continuous improvement in transportation delivery and customer satisfaction
- direct development, automation, and distribution of monthly aging, budget, and ad hoc reports
- work on various warehouse projects as assigned by leadership team
