Job Duties
- Support the General Manager across all departments and deputise in their absence
- lead, develop and implement a regular programme of creative and revenue-driving events and initiatives within the hostel
- work with GM and HQ to evolve and expand the property Food and Beverage offerings to both internal and external guests while ensuring brand consistency and revenue generation
- help the team create and deliver the budgeted profit and loss
- control payroll and all costs by understanding market conditions, forecasts and business on the books to maximise departmental income
- explore new revenue streams with commercial acumen
- ensure compliance with statutory local legislation and regulations including health and safety, employment law and fire safety
- deliver and ensure compliant site level HR support
- cultivate relationships with local influencers and maintain a database of useful contacts
- manage the atmosphere of the property and ensure social spaces embody the Freehand brand and culture
- communicate effectively and motivate the wider team towards achieving company goals
