Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous hotel management experience preferred
  • Food and beverage experience preferred
  • Previous hotel leadership experience with proven success in leading teams
  • Ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees effectively and consistently
  • At least a high school diploma, with a college degree preferred
  • Extensive financial knowledge and strong business acumen
  • Valid driver's license from appropriate state
  • Drive for results demonstrated through successful prior leadership performance
  • Action orientation to work efficiently towards operational objectives
  • Strong time management skills
  • Customer focus to deliver optimal employee and customer satisfaction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of hotel management experience preferred
  • Previous hotel leadership experience with proven success leading teams
  • Experience in food and beverage management preferred
  • Strong financial knowledge and business acumen
  • Effective coaching, training, and disciplinary skills
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead employees
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data
  • Experience with employee engagement and team collaboration

Job Duties

  • Coach and support hotel team to effectively manage wages and controllable expenses
  • Manage costs within the hotel including supplies, utilities, food and beverage, and labor expenses within budgeted parameters
  • Ensure service, technical skills, and other training occurs throughout the property
  • Ensure cleanliness and functionality of rooms and entire hotel building
  • Oversee housekeeping department to ensure effective daily operations
  • Review financial reports and statements to understand property performance versus budget and develop improvement strategies
  • Establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team members
  • Solicit and respond to team member feedback utilizing an open door policy
  • Hire team members demonstrating strong expertise, creativity, and leadership
  • Foster team member commitment to exceptional service and model desired behaviors
  • Communicate drivers of guest satisfaction and ensure service strategy implementation
  • Serve as guest advocate and resolve guest and operational issues
  • Interface regularly with customers to obtain satisfaction feedback
  • Observe and provide feedback on team service behaviors
  • Analyze service issues and facilitate creative solution development
  • Ensure building and operational areas meet or exceed guest expectations
  • Make decisions and oversee team performance, removing obstacles and providing resources
  • Inspire and motivate teams towards operational excellence
  • Administer policies fairly and consistently and evaluate team performance
  • Ensure compliance with franchise standards
  • Maintain a safe and secure property environment
  • Communicate and ensure execution of hotel emergency procedures
