Job Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of previous hotel management experience preferred
  • Food and beverage experience preferred
  • You have previous hotel leadership experience with proven success in leading teams
  • You have the ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees effectively and consistently
  • You have at least a high school diploma, with a college degree preferred
  • You have extensive financial knowledge and strong business acumen
  • You have a valid driver’s license from the appropriate state
  • You have a drive for results demonstrated through successful performance in prior leadership positions
  • You have an action orientation to work efficiently and effectively toward operational objectives
  • You have strong time management skills to meet commitments across multiple departments and roles
  • You have a customer focus to consistently deliver optimal employee and customer satisfaction for the hotel

Job Qualifications

  • At least a high school diploma
  • College degree preferred
  • 3+ years of hotel management experience preferred
  • Proven success in leading teams
  • Ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees

  • Valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • Coach and support hotel team to effectively manage wages and controllable expenses
  • strive to maintain profit margins without compromising guest or team member satisfaction
  • manage costs within the hotel including supplies, utilities, food and beverage and labor expenses to within budgeted parameters
  • ensure service, technical skills and other training occurs throughout the property to support daily operations
  • ensure cleanliness and functionality of rooms and entire building of the hotel
  • oversee housekeeping department ensuring daily effective operation
  • review financial reports to assess property performance versus budget and develop strategies to improve
  • establish open and collaborative relationships with direct reports and entire team
  • solicit team member feedback and address concerns utilizing an open door policy
  • hire team members demonstrating functional expertise, creativity and leadership
  • foster commitment to exceptional service and model desired service behaviors
  • demonstrate and communicate drivers of guest satisfaction
  • serve as guest advocate resolving operational issues
  • obtain customer feedback regularly
  • observe and provide feedback on service behaviors of team members
  • analyze guest feedback to identify improvement areas
  • facilitate creative solutions to improve guest satisfaction
  • ensure building maintenance and guest-friendly atmosphere
  • make decisions to remove obstacles and provide adequate resources
  • inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence
  • administer policies fairly and evaluate team member performance
  • ensure property meets franchise standards
  • ensure safety and security for guests and team members
  • communicate and enforce hotel emergency procedures
