Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Progressive experience in hotel operations
- Supervisory experience
- Proficient computer skills including Windows and MS Office
- Ability to work long hours when required
- Capacity to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
- Effective communication skills with employees and guests
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Multitasking and prioritization abilities
- Compliance with attendance and grooming standards
- Adherence to Highgate Hotel standards and regulations
- Ability to identify and solve operational problems

Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field or a 2-year college degree and minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a related field or a 4-year degree and minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a related field
- Previous supervisory responsibilities
- Proficient in Windows, company approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- Ability to handle and solve problems effectively
- Maintain confidentiality of information
Job Duties
- Assist the General Manager and/or Assistant General Manager with managing the front office operation
- Provide strong lobby presence to assist front desk agents and guests
- Provide all aspects of shift coverage in Food & Beverage operations as needed
- Balance the hotel room type inventory
- Ensure all areas of the lobby, mezzanine level, and Food & Beverage operations meet cleanliness and operational standards
- Monitor and action Nor 1 upsell program
- Handle guest special requests and customer complaints during shifts
