Job Requirements
- Three or more years of previous hotel management experience preferred
- food and beverage experience preferred
- previous hotel leadership experience with demonstrated success
- ability to coach, train, praise and discipline employees effectively and consistently
- at least a high school diploma, college degree preferred
- extensive financial knowledge and strong business acumen
- valid driver’s license
- drive for results demonstrated through leadership performance
- action orientation to work efficiently toward operational objectives
- strong time management skills
- customer focus to deliver employee and customer satisfaction

Job Duties
- Coach and support hotel team to effectively manage wages and controllable expenses
- strive to maintain profit margins without compromising guest or team member satisfaction
- manage costs within the hotel including supplies, utilities, food and beverage and labor expenses within budgeted parameters
- ensure service, technical skills and other training throughout the property
- oversee housekeeping department operations daily
- review financial reports and statements to understand property performance versus budget and expenses
- establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with team and direct reports
- solicit team member feedback and utilize an open door policy
- hire team members with strong functional expertise, creativity and leadership
- foster commitment to exceptional service and participate in stand-up meetings
- demonstrate and communicate drivers of guest satisfaction and ensure core service strategy implementation
- serve as guest advocate and resolve issues affecting results
- interact regularly with customers for feedback on service quality
- observe service behaviors and provide feedback
- analyze service issues and facilitate creative solutions
- ensure building maintenance and operational atmosphere meet guest expectations
- make decisions and oversee team performance, removing obstacles
- inspire and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence
- administer policies fairly and evaluate team performance
- ensure property meets franchise standards
- ensure property is safe and secure for guests and team members
- communicate and execute hotel emergency procedures
