Job Requirements

  • at least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • or a 2-year college degree and minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a related field
  • or a 4-year degree and minimum 1 year of progressive experience in a related field
  • previous supervisory responsibilities
  • proficient in Windows and company approved spreadsheets and word processing
  • able to work long hours sometimes
  • must exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • able to listen, understand and clarify concerns
  • able to multitask and prioritize
  • attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • assist in the Front Office with managing the Front Office operation, provide support to other departments in the hotel such as Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering
  • provide a strong lobby presence to assist front desk agents and guests
  • provide all aspects of shift coverage in Food and Beverage operations as needed
  • balance the hotel room type inventory
  • ensure all areas of the lobby and Food and Beverage operations meet Paramount standards including cleanliness and signage
  • monitor and action Nor 1 upsell program
  • handle guests’ special requests and customer complaints during the shift
  • perform all other front desk duties and responsibilities
  • investigate and handle complaints, disturbances, emergencies during shift
  • manage employee payroll, track attendance using ADP, conduct call-arounds for overtime as needed
  • coach, train, counsel hourly associates and administer discipline
  • perform some Night Audit functions and produce Night Audit reports
  • prepare, copy, and distribute reports
  • handle special guest requests
  • attend and contribute to meetings to maintain employee relations and morale
  • participate in Manager on Duty coverage as required
