Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • some supervisory or management experience in a shift work environment
  • verbal and written communication skills
  • must have reliable telephone and transportation
  • must be able to sit, stand, lift, and/or bend throughout shift
  • must pass pre-employment and random drug tests
  • must complete a criminal background check
  • must be able to read, understand and carry out instructions in English
  • must meet necessary requirements to obtain a security sensitive identification badge
  • must be able to verbally direct in English
  • must be a citizen of the United States or possess necessary authorization from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS)
  • must treat all information as confidential
  • must possess tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Ensure implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • implement safety plan for station
  • maintain Quality Assurance oversight for operational issues relating to performance and safety, providing suitable corrective and/or preventative actions where necessary
  • actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • perform all duties of subordinate employees when necessary
  • be familiar with all pertinent regulations (company/client/government agencies)
  • schedule personnel daily and furnish copy to Department Manager
  • monitor employee activity and make adjustments as needed
  • ensure employees follow all regulations/procedures
  • check in/out sheets to ensure all employees have logged in times correctly
  • deal courteously and tactfully with fellow employees
  • communicate effectively with fellow employees and client representatives
  • make recommendations to Department Manager regarding personnel performance
  • communicate safety hazards and equipment problems to Department Manager or General Manager
  • ensure state licenses and training records are current
  • be on call 24 hours per day
  • report inquiries and other major incidents to Department Managers
  • respond to inquiries from client, staff, and passengers courteously
  • keep supervisor informed of needs and problems in assigned areas
  • maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs
  • project a positive image and respond to inquiries from clients, staff and public in a courteous manner
  • attend meetings and in-services as required
  • utilize appropriate communications channels and maintain records, reports and files as required
  • be in proper uniform or business attire as directed and keep identification badges visible
  • adhere to company policies and procedures
  • utilize company and client equipment, supplies and resources in a conscientious, cost-effective manner
  • perform quality assurance service audits as directed to conform to client’s specifications and/or procedures
  • perform other duties as requested
  • comply with all safety requirements including reporting unsafe conditions and wearing proper PPE
  • ensure employees follow all safety requirements through safety briefings, training oversight, and accident investigations
