Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of department-specific procedures and general hotel operations
  • Ability to supervise and manage staff effectively
  • Strong focus on guest satisfaction and positive guest relations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of management or supervisory experience, hotel experience preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of department-specific procedures and general hotel operations
  • Ability to supervise and manage staff effectively
  • Strong focus on guest satisfaction and positive guest relations
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, a second language (Spanish preferred) is a plus
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of and adherence to company rules and SOPs
  • Experience with OPERA PMS preferred

Job Duties

  • Approach all guest and employee interactions with attentiveness, courtesy, and a service-oriented mindset
  • Manage hotel operations in alignment with Hyatt and Ensemble standards, including Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Housekeeping, ensuring compliance with SOPs and high-quality service
  • Collaborate with Department Heads to understand each role’s impact on hotel operations and assist in supervising staff as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and certification requirements, including Food Handlers, Hyatt Human Trafficking training, and other applicable state or hotel regulations
  • Assist the General Manager with financial reporting and operational goals to achieve profitability through revenue generation, cost control, and guest satisfaction
  • Foster an empowered team environment, promoting employee decision-making to enhance guest experiences and following up on successes and opportunities
  • Support training initiatives across departments using effective training methods to maintain service standards
  • Assist Human Resources with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding staff based on occupancy and operational needs
  • Participate in weekly operations meetings to address overall hotel performance
  • Be visible in public areas during peak times to greet guests and offer assistance as needed
