Job Requirements

  • You have 3+ years of previous hotel management experience preferred
  • food and beverage experience preferred
  • you have previous hotel leadership experience with proven success in leading teams
  • you have the ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees effectively and consistently
  • you have at least a high school diploma, with a college degree preferred
  • you have extensive financial knowledge and strong business acumen
  • you have a valid driver’s license from the appropriate state
  • you have a drive for results demonstrated through successful performance in prior leadership positions
  • you have an action orientation to work efficiently and effectively toward operational objectives
  • you have strong time management skills to meet commitments across multiple departments and roles
  • you have a customer focus to consistently deliver optimal employee and customer satisfaction for the hotel

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred
  • minimum 3 years of hotel management experience preferred
  • prior leadership experience with proven success in team management
  • strong financial knowledge and business acumen
  • ability to coach, train, praise, and discipline employees effectively
  • valid driver’s license
  • demonstrated drive for results in leadership roles
  • strong time management skills
  • customer-focused mindset

Job Duties

  • Coach and support hotel team to effectively manage wages and controllable expenses
  • manage costs including supplies, utilities, food and beverage, and labor within budgeted parameters
  • ensure service, technical skills and other training occurs throughout the property
  • ensure cleanliness and functionality of rooms and entire building
  • effectively run and oversee housekeeping department daily
  • review financial reports and statements to understand property performance versus budget
  • establish and maintain open, collaborative relationships with direct reports and entire team
  • actively solicit team member feedback and ensure fair treatment
  • hire team members with strong expertise and leadership
  • foster team commitment to exceptional service and participate in daily stand-up meetings
  • demonstrate and communicate drivers of guest satisfaction
  • serve as guest advocate to resolve issues
  • regularly interface with customers for feedback
  • observe and provide feedback on service behaviors
  • review guest survey results and comment cards to identify improvement areas
  • analyze service issues and implement creative solutions
  • ensure building and operational areas meet guest expectations
  • make decisions and oversee team performance
  • inspire and motivate teams for operational excellence
  • administer policies fairly and evaluate team member performance
  • ensure property meets franchise standards
  • ensure property is safe and secure
  • communicate and ensure execution of emergency procedures
