Job Duties
- Ensures that all Corporate, customer, Federal, State and local policies and procedures are followed
- supervises and supports lower management/supervisors on daily operations
- responsible for coordinating flight delivery assignments and ensuring kitchen departure times are met
- works with maintenance staff to ensure preventive maintenance of machinery according to schedules and reports issues timely
- conducts inventory of Gate Gourmet products and customer materials to minimize waste
- prepares and plans against end of the month projections in partnership with Food Manager and General Manager
- prepares management reports such as attendance, HACCP, and labor reports
- effectively interfaces and coordinates between customers and employees
- manages work flow balancing and division of responsibilities among employees on each shift
- manages daily manpower planning including assignment of responsibilities and workstations
- determines when to call employees in to cover staffing needs like sick calls and vacation relief
- ensures compliance with company Wage & Hour policy including rest and meal breaks
- trains and monitors employees on proper work procedures to ensure productivity
- responsible for employee retention and reducing turnover
- coaches, counsels and prepares corrective actions for employees in compliance with union agreements
- reviews and ensures employees are in correct cost centers and job titles
- reviews and ensures union represented employees’ pay rates are correct
- ensures employees complete required training including ServSafe and company policies
