Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree and 14 or more years of relevant experience or Master's degree and 12 or more years of relevant experience
- Proven knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
- Extensive supervisory experience
- Aerospace industry experience preferred
- Ability to work onsite in Midland, GA
- Able to pass any security or compliance requirements as applicable
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 14 or more years of experience in engineering, manufacturing operations management, production, or a similar environment, or Master's degree with 12 or more years of experience
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience with Kaizen events or continuous improvement programs
- Demonstrated leadership skills managing large teams
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Preferred qualifications include MBA or advanced degree
- Leadership development expertise
Job Duties
- Implement processes and operating plans to ensure safety, quality, operational efficiency, and cost effectiveness
- Manage the operational performance of all value streams in the Columbus Forge including safety, quality, cost, delivery, and inventory
- Lead the location in operational excellence and lean transformation initiatives
- Drive talent development and succession planning across the operations team
- Oversee and direct cost reduction efforts and process improvements for operational efficiency
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and materials teams to align production scheduling with targets and standards
- Ensure overall workforce safety through strategic leadership and cultural deployment of safety indicators
