Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a restaurant
  • Ability to work 40-50 hours per week including Saturdays
  • Must be available for open to close shifts Monday through Saturday
  • Must complete Food Handler training and ServSafe certification
  • Knowledge of California Labor Law
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain effective communication under pressure
  • Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Willingness to work holidays except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day

Job Duties

  • Report directly to the Owner/Operator
  • Manage total daily restaurant operations from open to close
  • Create systems to achieve business goals and enhance guest experience
  • Build and maintain a high-performance team by empowering team members and leaders
  • Foster a culture of trust, excellence, accountability, and mission
  • Develop operational systems to grow sales across all channels
  • Ensure effective communication between front-of-house and back-of-house
  • Enforce brand standards including dress code and labor laws
  • Act as chief problem solver, addressing business and team challenges
  • Make timely business decisions in the absence of the Owner/Operator
  • Lead new initiatives such as menu rollouts and training
  • Oversee leadership development, team engagement, and retention strategies
  • Schedule work shifts aligning with productivity and guest service
  • Monitor labor efficiency and productivity during all shifts
  • Manage inventory, vendor payments, and cash handling
  • Maintain ServSafe certification and ensure compliance
  • Respond to operational events including after-hours issues
  • Collaborate on sales channel growth including app usage
  • Lead discipline procedures and performance reviews
  • Conduct exit interviews and develop talent pipeline
  • Administer leadership mentoring and development programs
  • Maintain communication flow and respond promptly to team needs
  • Train and evaluate team on labor law compliance
  • Support and facilitate team member recognition initiatives
