Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of relevant operations experience
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid driver’s license preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years’ experience in an operations role in arenas, convention centers, or similar venues
  • Advanced degree in Facility Management or related field may substitute for experience
  • Basic computer skills including typing, data entry, and email
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel preferred
  • Knowledge of Coupa software is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and interpret floor plans and event orders
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and requirements
  • Forklift certification or ability to acquire within 90 days
  • Clear and concise communication skills in English
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling of changeover staff
  • Ensure staff compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements
  • Understand and execute parameters of Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping for hazardous materials
  • Perform day-to-day building operations and maintenance
  • Review and understand event documents to forecast staffing and equipment needs
  • Provide team support as required
