Job Requirements
- U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience in customer service operations
- Experience with international air freight, logistics, or distribution
- Knowledge of export, import, and transport processes
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical or clinical trial logistics preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
Job Qualifications
- Professional experience in customer service operations preferably in international air freight, logistics, or distribution
- Previous experience in export, import, and transport preferred
- Previous experience in pharmaceutical and clinical trial industry preferred
- Commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Strong customer focus
- Team player, self-dependent, motivated to succeed
- Proficient in MS Office including Excel and Word
Job Duties
- Support the Cell and Gene team with daily operations and liaise with Control Tower Coordinators for shipment coordination
- Utilize technology for enhanced monitoring, management, and control of shipments
- Collaborate with logistics service providers, branches, and depots to arrange shipment solutions
- Prepare, place, control, and arrange appropriate packaging and equipment according to project specifications
- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for collections and deliveries ensuring timeliness and compliance with documentation standards
- Work with regulatory teams to ensure compliance for import and export shipments
- Book shipments with airlines and integrators to secure optimal routing
- Ensure proper handling and storage of shipments with airlines and ground facilities
- Label and prepare shipments for export, including dispatching drivers to meet cut-off times
- Maintain compliance in the Marken Maestro system with key shipment milestone data entry and confirmation
- Send pre-alerts and communicate with branches and local providers to confirm shipment receipt and instructions
- Perform pre- and post-flight shipment checks and communicate with airlines in case of delays
- Escalate issues or shipment delays to the Cell and Gene Management Team
