Job Description

The hiring establishment is a prominent airport operation team responsible for managing the efficient movement and coordination of aircraft, passengers, and baggage through Terminals 1 and 2. This team works closely with a variety of stakeholders including commercial pilots, FAA controllers, local airline employees, airport operations personnel, maintenance technicians, law enforcement, crash fire rescue units, and central communications. Job Requirements

  • Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • aviation-related degree or relative experience
  • excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • ability to maintain good working relationships
  • general knowledge of computer applications, software and hardware

Job Duties

  • Provide commercial pilots with pushback and arrival/departure taxi instructions
  • actively interact with FAA controllers to determine arrival and departure sequences
  • communicate with airport operations, airline employees, maintenance technicians, IT staff, law enforcement, crash fire rescue, and central communications
  • allocate and manage terminal resources including gates, check-in positions, baggage reclaim and makeup belts
  • comply with FAA regulations and operational requests
  • assure compliance with minimum standards and regulations relating to tenants and procedures
  • represent the company professionally with airport tenants and authorities
