Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- three years of experience in emergency management or protective force operations, or four years in monitoring alarms and security systems
- technical training related to security monitoring or emergency management
- proficiency in basic computer functions including keyboard entry, word processing, and file management
- ability to complete E-911 training at South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy within one year
- ability to obtain and maintain Q clearance

- related technical training in security monitoring, emergency management, or other related field
- three years of experience in emergency management or Protective Force operations, or four years of experience in monitoring alarms and security systems
- experience in basic computer functions including keyboard entry, word processing, and file management
- ability to complete E-911 training at South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy within one year of assignment
- must be able to obtain and maintain Q clearance
Job Duties
- monitor daily and emergency operations within the Savannah River Site Operations Center
- operate company portion of site radio network
- act as a flight controller for Centerra-SRS Aviation Operations Department on and off-site
- make emergency and non-emergency announcements
- notify company and client management of incidents
- notify off-site agencies if needed
- dispatch appropriate Site Patrol, Special Response Team, Fire or Medical personnel when needed
- complete management Daily Activity Report from Incident and Accident Reports
- complete Daily Communications Log and monthly Post Closure Report
- maintain emergency notification and Emergency Recall databases
- maintain Area Recall Rosters, Crisis Negotiation Team/Mobile Command Post Recall Rosters and Readiness Team Rosters
- initiate emergency security operations procedures as directed
- receive calls and take notes of steps taken
- coordinate emergency response until relieved by higher authority
- communicate and coordinate with responding units during emergencies
- interface with SRNS Emergency Duty Officer and other Operations Center personnel to draft applicable procedures
- maintain records including flight plans, communication times including 15-minute time checks, range opening and closing times, and documentation of exercises and real emergencies
- perform all responsibilities for environment, safety and health as defined in Procedure 1-3100 and adhere to Integrated Safety Management principles
