Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work overtime and weekend on call rotations
- strong communication skills
- proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Office
- experience in logistics or freight forwarding preferred
- ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail

- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- ability to type 35+ words per minute
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Job Duties
- Tracking and tracing outbound shipments
- inspecting outbound freight
- contracting new carriers as needed
- assigning carriers and providing load tenders
- communicating freight status and any problems to other stations and customers
- updating the system
- providing customer service
- running reports
- working overtime and weekend on call rotations
- data entry of shipments into transportation management system
- domestic air and ground routing including Canada
- negotiating freight rates
- developing collaborative carrier relationships
- finding and developing new logistics freight opportunities
- designing carrier solutions for other offices and external customers
