Job Description

The Lee County Port Authority manages two major airports in Southwest Florida, including Page Field (FMY) and Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW). Page Field is an FAA-designated reliever airport primarily serving general and business aviation. In 2023, it accommodated over 203,000 aircraft operations, setting a new record for activity at the facility. Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire
  • high school diploma or GED with minimum one year experience in aviation or airport setting
  • must obtain Florida Notary Public commission within 6 months of hire
  • must pass Page Field Movement Area Driver Course within 90 days of hire
  • must obtain AAAE Airfield Operations ACE or ACE General Aviation Airport Management Certification within 18 months of hire
  • availability to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call schedules

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage hangar, tiedown, and permit agreements
  • conduct new tenant orientations and inspections
  • monitor daily airport operations including landside, airside, and terminal inspections
  • enforce airport rules, regulations, and minimum standards
  • respond to emergencies and issue Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs)
  • assist with wildlife hazard management
  • prepare reports and assist with safety meetings and emergency planning
