Job Requirements

  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by date of hire
  • possession of City Operator's Permit within six months of hire
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
  • five years of managerial event program operations experience including two years of supervisory experience
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • five years managerial event program operations experience
  • two years supervisory experience
  • event management experience preferred
  • marketing or public relations experience preferred
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • ability to coordinate multiple teams and events
  • knowledge of contract negotiation principles
  • experience in public relations and community engagement

Job Duties

  • Plan, direct and oversee operations division activities including security, technical crews and maintenance
  • coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies
  • provide administrative support to the Division Manager
  • oversee visitor experience and event coordination
  • manage partner and vendor relationships
  • schedule and supervise on-site staff during events
  • ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
