Job Requirements

  • Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License or ability to obtain by date of hire
  • possession of a City Operator's Permit within six months of hire
  • ability to work evenings and weekends
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational abilities
  • leadership experience

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • five years managerial event program operations experience
  • two years supervisory experience
  • event management experience preferred
  • marketing or public relations experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan, direct and oversee the activities of the Operations Division including security, technical crews and maintenance
  • coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies
  • provide administrative support to the Division Manager
  • supervise, train and evaluate staff
  • coordinate events and programs
  • analyze and assess operational needs and make adjustments
  • develop and administer division goals and procedures
  • prepare administrative and financial reports
  • analyze problems and implement solutions
  • research and evaluate new service delivery methods
  • interpret and apply policies, laws and regulations
  • establish and maintain effective working relationships
