Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license or ability to obtain by date of hire
  • possession of a City Operator's Permit within six months from date of hire
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • strong organizational and leadership skills
  • effective communication abilities
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • five years managerial event program operations experience
  • two years supervisory experience
  • event management experience preferred
  • marketing experience preferred
  • public relations experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities of the operations division which includes security, technical crews and maintenance
  • coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, departments and outside agencies
  • provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the division manager
  • oversee visitor experience and event coordination
  • manage partner and vendor relationships
  • develop event scheduling and provide on-site supervision
  • ensure smooth operational flow of the CS-Route 66 Center events
